About Dad
My name is John MacArthur and I am a dad. My children are now grown up and married with kids of their own. I am a real estate agent. One of the biggest reasons I became a real estate agent was the result of the experiences of my children when they first bought homes.
It was pretty ugly and scary for them.
They came to me for advice. After all, didn’t I know how to put the chain back on their bicycle? Didn’t I have the magic to pull a quarter out of their ear? Didn’t I know how to make the heart break of a flag football defeat disappear in the enjoyment of a slurpee? Didn’t I make a teenage girl’s sorrow dissipate in a hot fudge sundae?
I was Dad and surely I had the answers.
Well, back then, I didn’t. I took my best guess. I tried to sort out all the information. I did my best. I was adequate but far from what I wanted my children to have. I believed that they, as well as all children, deserve the best advice available regarding any subject.
I went to school. I passed the course. I became a real estate agent. I have taken all the required continuing education since day one. I have focused on becoming knowledgeable about real estate in the DC area.
I am a Dad and I know what you need to hear is the truth. I know you need to understand the process and the terms. I also know that I need to be available to answer your questions when they come up. I do that too.
